so on this past sunday i had some creepiness added to my life, but before i start, let me touch upon the things in the title...

... camp comfort is a campground/park in my hometown (ojai, ca) on a backroad. it's been many years since i went there. i have a faint bad memory of it, but that's all. creek road is the road that camp comfort is on and is haunted by charman. i don't know the whole story behind charman, but what i do know is that he died in a fiery car crash, but was never found. sometimes you can see his burning body running down the road. there's a book on him as well (which i need to find). there's a bridge near the park that is called charman's bridge, and a plethora of bizzarre happenings on crrek road. now, the urn...

... this past sunday i went to a birthday party at camp comfort. i brought my digi-camera, because i do so love to take photos. i was down at the crrek snapping off pics of orange and blue dragonflies, and the flora (my kids were swimming about 50 ft down creek). after deciding i had taken enough, i turned to leave, adn saw some broken pottery. very beautiful pottery, and was a bit sad, for i would've loved to have had it at my house. it had a very intricate design and very colorful, seemed oriental in design and quite old. i picked up the broken off top to inspect, when a polyester-cotton type padding fell out... followed by a bit of ashes. surprised, i looked a little more closely on the ground, and to my chagrin, found ashes scattered btwixt, on top of, and beneath the rest of the broken pieces. now the only reason i know of for putting ashes in a vase/jar of sorts, is for the remains of the cremated body. naturally, i was a littled icked/creeped out, and put the top back. then of course, my morbid curiosity got the better of me, and i proceeded to snap pitcures of it...

... and that is the story behind "urns, camp comfort, a haunted road, and charman...". i was creeped out, because i can find no reason as to why an urn, broken or not, should be found at such a public place...
